Opticians Specs2U can provide eye tests and lenses to support people with dyslexia and dyspraxia as well as Irlens Syndrome. They have a specialised lens that has had dramatic results for people with these conditions (visit their website www.specs2u.co.uk to see case studies of successful use).
The lens appears clear and so looks like a normal pair of glasses (unlike Irlens lenses which come in a variety of colours). This means children can get the same performance as a coloured lens but without the feeling of 'standing out' or being different. An additional benefit is that the lens can be prescribed as part of a normal eye test (and so qualifies for an NHS voucher) and is around 35% of the cost of a pair of Irlens' glasses.
Specs2U can provide NHS and private eye tests and glasses. To book an eye test call 0151 357 3456 or email info@specs2u.co.uk. Otherwise if you'd like to see if the new lens can work for you, just pop into the Specs2U Ellesmere Port branch (21 Flexspace Business Park, North Road Service Road, Ellesmere Port, CH65 1AE - J8 off the M53).
Quote TLC Network when you book.
