About Us

Our Vision
Our vision is to ensure that families throughout the Wirral and surrounding areas are valued, recognised and supported with equal access to a good quality of life that is not prejudiced by their disability.
People with Disabilities or additional needs including brain injury and learning disabilities are treated fairly and strive to achieve their aspirations.
Every person is an individual and every person has a voice.

Our Mission
Our mission is to challenge the inequalities that families and people with Disabilities face and ensure, through partnership working, that whatever age or background they will have their voice heard and have access to quality support and services reflecting their identified needs and interests.
How TLC Network charity first began
In January 2014 The Local Carers Network was formed by Louise Reecejones, Pauline Toohey and Salvina McGettigan. We understood first hand from all our varied experiences that the services on Wirral and across the North West did not do enough for families of children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs. This also includes adults and children who are hard of hearing, Deafened or born D/deaf.
We are a family friendly independent service that families have open access to. All our families and young people have an active say in how the centre is run, they also influence what services are delivered.
